Nancy Jo Brenner, age 86 of Vicksburg, MI passed away on October 26, 2025, in Lansing, MI following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 28, 1939, in Lansing, MI the daughter of Harold and Lila (May) Lutz. She attended Webberville High School and was part of the 1957 graduating class, where she earned two scholarships through her hard work and graduated as class valedictorian. Following high school, she would obtain her associates and become a registered nurse. On November 26, 1959 (Thanksgiving Day) she would marry the love of her life, Richard Brenner, at the Perry Church of the Nazarene in Perry, MI. Nancy looked forward to taking mission trips with her church family, traveling the globe; from Costa Rica to Trinidad to Tobago. Nancy was heavily involved with her church events and groups; volunteering her time as a Sunday School Teacher, Caravan Leader, and was even the Missionary President. She was a gifted artist, creating wonderful quilts with her sewing and crocheting techniques. Nancy had a gift with people, toward the end of her RN career, she worked in hospice, ensuring those in need received the help they needed. Nancy enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Florida on their birthdays. Nancy was very loving and an extremely generous person, however, when the clock hit 7pm, it was Wheel of Fortune time, and she was not going to miss Wheel of Fortune.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 66 years, Richard Brenner; her children; Timothy Brenner, Andrew Brenner, and Laura Linstra; nine grandchildren; four great-granchildren; siblings; Thomas Lutz and Wendy Zick; and many nieces, nephews, and extended families. She was preceded in passing by her parents; Harold and Lila Lutz; and her sister Patricia.

In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10am until 11am at Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene (7520 E U Ave, Vicksburg, MI 49097) with funeral services beginning at 11am with Wes Bittenbender officiating.
