Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home 519 Locust Street, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301 Phone: 270-684-9891 Email: [email protected] Fax: 270-684-9894 Nancy Arlene Brey, 58, of Knottsville, died Saturday January 9, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born April 4, 1951 to the late Mary Thomasine Smith and was a stepdaughter to the late Robert L. Smith. She worked at North American Phillips until its closure, then earned her LPN degree and enjoyed nursing. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral. Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Misty Brey-Sanford and her husband Jeff of Owensboro, her son, Dr. David Brey and his wife Dr. Nicole Brey of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Dylan Sanford, Payton Sanford, Elle Brey and Owen Brey, two brothers, Richard Williams and his wife Phyllis of Texas and Kenneth Williams and his wife, Suzy of New York. Services will be held at 12:05pm. Tuesday January 12, 2010 at St. Stephen Cathedral. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm.on Monday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and from 10:00 to 11:30am.on Tuesday, with Reverend John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The family wishes expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the St. Stephen Building Fund.
