Nancy Patricia "Patsy" Brown Arp, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 21, 1941, Patsy was a beacon of warmth and creativity whose life was a testament to love and service.
Patsy dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker, cherishing her role as the heart of her family. Her talents were many, and she found joy in painting, arts and crafts, and sewing. Her hands were often busy creating beautiful garments and treasured pieces of art that her family will hold dear forever.
For over 35 years, Patsy and her husband, Rev. Terry Arp, dedicated themselves to missionary work in Africa and France. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart shone brightly during these years. Patsy enriched the lives of others through teaching at a school for the blind, as well as offering sewing and cooking classes to young girls, equipping them with valuable skills for their futures.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Frances Brown, and her beloved daughter, Sunzie Thomas. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Rev. Terry Arp; her children, Hannah Elgin (Jason), Kevin Arp, Mathieu Arp, and Daniel Arp; her sister, Bonnie Stallings; 13 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Patsy's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 o'clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, with visitation two hours prior to the service. The service will be officiated by her husband, Rev. Terry Arp, and Rev. Ben Sprenger. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Newnan.
The family is accepting flowers or donations to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 3911 Sharpsburg-McCollum Road, Newnan, GA 30265.
