Nancy L Capilla, 82, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on October 25, 2023 with her family by her
side.
Nancy was born on August 17, 1941 to Louellen & Henry Mayer in Clarksburg, Wva. She
graduated from Washington Irving High school in 1959. Nancy then went on to work at Bell
telephone company in Clarksburg.
Nancy married the love of her life, Robert L Capilla on August 31, 1963.
Nancy went on to work for the Butler County Schools in Cincinnati Ohio as a lunchroom lady
then after moving to Temperance Michigan she started working for the store McCory Inc, then
went onto settle into home childcare.
Bob and Nancy started being Florida snowbirds before deciding to become full time residents
until this last spring.
Nancy enjoyed fishing on their boat with her husband. She also enjoyed playing dominoes and
card games with their Florida friends that soon became like family.
Nancy is survived by her husband Bob of 60 years. Daughter, Tina (Randy) Cooper Son Robert
(Cherie) Capilla. Grandchildren Kayla Cooper, Emily (Eric) Gibson, Jacob Capilla, Jenna
Capilla, Claire Cooper, and Eric Cooper. Great Grandchildren, Olivia LeStrange, Aidan Kopp, &
Austin Kopp, The legacy of her life lives on not only through her biological children, but through
the lives she touched as a dedicated and loving parent figure to Sara Vanderzee and Julie
Habbouche.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Suzanne Marie Capilla.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to
the following in her name: First Congregational Church of Toledo Ohio or Heartland Hospice,
Whitehouse, Ohio.
