Nancy Ann Carpenter

Nancy Carpenter, age 64, of Dover, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025.

Born October 21, 1961, in Dover, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Walter Blaine and Thelma Faye (Ryan) Gladman. Nancy graduated from Lakeland High School, first in her class, in 1980 and from Stark State College in 1994. She was married to Douglas Carpenter, and would have shared 30 years of marriage this coming February.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children Ryan (Jon), Marcia, Laura, Doug, and Katie; grandchildren Jermaine, Stanley, and Rozlyn; and siblings Sharon, Rebecca, Jack, Daniel (Lorraine), Matthew, and Mark. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David B. Gladman.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, cremation has been carried out and a private inurnment service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Cleveland Clinic and to the Community Hospice Truman House for their dedicated care of our loved one.
