Nancy Marie Carroll, 92, of Greensburg, PA passed away peacefully one week shy of her 93rd birthday on Monday, March 16, 2026. Born at Westmoreland Hospital to Gerald Elvin and Gladys Eva Carroll on March 22, 1933, Nancy was a strong trumpet player in her high school marching band and, later, began her life's work by achieving her nursing diploma from Seton Hill. After a brief time in Chicago, she returned to her hometown, working at Latrobe Hospital and finally retiring from Westmoreland Hospital as an operating room nurse. Her big personality always provided laughter and entertainment during long shifts, and she was beloved by her co-workers. Nancy spent her retirement years traveling, volunteering at the local public theater, cheering for the Steelers and WVU football, spending winters in Florida, exercising her mind with many books and crossword puzzles, and most-importantly, spending quality time with her friends and family. Nancy is survived by her granddaughter Jenny Maxey (husband Douglas) and their children Grayson and Paityn, her grandson Jody Struble and his children MacKenzi, Liam, and Brinley, as well as her dearest friend and companion Donna K. Cordingley. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Gladys Carroll and her only daughter Pamela A. Struble. Visitation for Nancy will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 10:00 am until 10:30 am in Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg. A service will follow at 10:30 am. After the service, friends and family are welcome to proceed to Twin Valley Memorial Park for a short ceremony as Nancy takes her final resting place. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. For online condolences, please visit www.kepplegraft.com.
