Nancy Lee Chavez, age 89 of Wild Rose passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Point Manor Stevens Point. She was born in Appleton on September 29, 1936 to Clarence and Minne (Totzke) Zeffery. Nancy worked as a Funeral Director in Milwaukee for many years. She was one of a very few female funeral directors back in her working years. Back then it was a male driven industry and she helped break the stereo type that all funeral directors had to be men.
Nancy is survived by her family and friends.
Private family services will be held at a let date in Appleton at Riverside Cemetery.
