Nancy Laquita (Doll) Cox, age 84, passed away on January 20, 2026 at Harmony Care Center in West Des Moines, Iowa surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born in Centerville, Iowa on December 10, 1941 to Elmer and Clarissa (Hopkins) Doll. She attended school and graduated from Centerville High School with the class of 1960.
Throughout life Nancy enjoyed cooking and baking all sorts of treats. She liked to be outside playing tennis, fishing, or gardening and tending to her flowers. Nancy was an avid traveler, and loved going on adventures and discovering new sites.
Nancy is survived by her children, Chris Cox (Pilar Mireles) and Cammie Stubblefield (Rick Booher); grandchildren, Carson Cox, Rio Cox, Jack Stubblefield, Drake Stubblefield, and Mckenna Stubblefield; sister, Patty Powell, and numerous extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Sharon Henshaw, Jennie Brown, Betty Barker, Jack Doll, Russell Doll, Jim Doll, Irene Welsh, Mary Adamson, and Gary Biles.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Ararat Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am-7:00pm on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, with family present from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Memorials may be written to Mt. Ararat Cemetery and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Cox Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
