Nancy Carol Burks Creech and also known passionately as "Mimi" departed this life on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at her home. She was born on December 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Elbert Miles and Annie Dressler Burks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Creech; sons, Marshall Leitch, Bobby Leitch, David Creech and George Leitch; and her daughter, Toni Delahooke; two grandchildren, Rebekah Creech and Matthew Creech; special sister-in-law, Carolyn Bridges.
Nancy endured many struggles in her life but she never gave up her faithful attitude and her steadfast work ethic. She touched many lives by her attitude and beliefs. She loved her family whole heartedly and unconditionally and was always there to love them at all times.
She retired with over 20 years of service at Walmart in Covington. She had many "Walmart" friends and was highly respected by all. She will truly be missed and always loved.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Betty Leitch and Debi Leitch; grandchildren, Allen Delahooke (Hope), Ashley Bass, Nicole Delahooke, Joey Deaner (Megan), Hannah Leitch (Evan), Talina Sloan, Jacob, Justin and Jonathan Leitch; and many great-grandchildren and special cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in her name.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Covington First Church of the Nazarene, 126 E. Locust Street, Covington, Virginia with Pastor Sonny Wiseman officiating. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. and other times at her home 107 N. Marion Avenue, Covington, VA 24426.
