Nancy D'Emilio Obituary

Nancy L. D'Emilio, 73, of Irwin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on Sept. 12, 1951, she was the cherished daughter of the late Robert and Irene McCloskey. Nancy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to those she held dear. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Christopher; and her sister, Lorraine, whose memories she cherished and honored throughout her life. For more than 50 years, Nancy shared a remarkable bond with her devoted husband, Louis Frank, who was her greatest love and steadfast companion. Her daughter, Elise (Kent) Otwell of Trafford, was her sunshine and constant source of joy, and she was a proud grandmother who cherished every moment with Nathan, Jake, and Madisyn, her greatest treasures. She is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Drena (Pat) Rega; as well as her cherished nieces, Lori (Frank) Tolusic and Missy (Randy) Sarnelli; and her nephews, Jeff Rega and Cody McCloskey. Nancy had a fulfilling professional career highlighted by her role as a trusted secretary to Anthony J. O'Riley, CEO of H.J. Heinz. Her time at Heinz was not only a testament to her professionalism but also where she met her husband, Lou, adding a special chapter to her story. Nancy's beautiful personality shone through her many passions. She was an avid collector, with a particular love for all things Santa Claus and Halloween witches, delighting her family and friends with her unique collections. Above all, she was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering commitment to her family, always putting their needs above her own. In lieu of flowers, Nancy's family asks that donations be made to organizations supporting abused and neglected children, a cause close to her heart. Her legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nancy's life on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont (724-468-1177). So sorry to hear about Nancy. I spoke with her after she had lost her son, Christopher. Just a joy to talk with her. I told her I will pray for Christopher, and so now I will pray for her too -- and for her husband
and family. With many prayers... Jan, just a friend
