Nancy Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Troy B. Smith Professional Services on Dec. 8, 2025.
Born in Lafayette, Louisiana to Nancy & Albert Solomon, Sr., Nancy Ann later moved to Houston, Texas - a place where she worked hard, built community, and raised her family. She began her career in the hospitality and janitorial industry before transitioning into Team Leader at RR Donnelley, proudly retiring in 2010. Nancy loved the Lord with all her heart, and her faith shined through her warmth, generosity, and unwavering support of others. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Her presence brought joy, comfort, and strength, and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.

She leaves memories to be cherished by one son, Craig Davis (Belinda) of Dallas, TX, one daughter, Ethel Lee Espree of Houston, TX, a stepson Kenneth Lewis (Glenda) of Lafayette, LA, one brother, Joseph Van Solomon, Sr. of Houston, TX, 28 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nancy & Albert Solomon, Sr., her husband of 59 years, Paul Davis, one son, Christopher Solomon, six sisters: Eunice Williams, Rose Cormier, Roseanna Solomon, Anna Trahan, Dorothy Noel, and Judy Williams; nine brothers: Clarence Solomon, Anthony Solomon, Edward Solomon, Patrick Solomon, Melvin Solomon, Albert Solomon, Gilbert Solomon, James "Jim" Alexander, and Daniel Solomon, one stepdaughter, Vanessa Lewis, one step-granddaughter, Candice Lewis, and one step-great-grandson, Xavier Baptiste.
