Wilmington - Nancy D. Debnam was born on March 25, 1969, in New Hanover County, North Carolina. She passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in the same county that she called home for her entire life. She was 56 years old.

Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved the beach, fishing, camping & playing bingo. Her favorite place near her home was the North End, where she found peace and happiness in the gentle waves and sandy shores.

Nancy is survived by her beloved sons, Cooper Debnam and Brandon Debnam, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her devoted mother, Darlene Bright, and stepfather, Leslie; her father, Bill Clark, and stepmother, Birdie. Her memory will be cherished

by her sisters, Cindy Clark, Sherry Clark, Billie Clark (Jeff Williamson), Lori Owen (Jay), Amanda Jones (Nick); her brother, Sam Bright (Carol); and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Nancy's honor on August 9th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the American Legion Post, located at 129 Bridge Barrier Rd, Carolina Beach, NC. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of a life well-lived.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare hospice by clicking the 'donate' button below.

Nancy's gentle spirit, love for her family, and appreciation for life's simple joys will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
