Nancy Marion DeLater, age 89, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, MI. She was born on February 25, 1935, in Detroit, MI. She lived in West Branch, MI since 1959.
Nancy was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. She cherished the time she spent during winters in Florida, enjoying the sunshine and warmth.
She was a loving mother to her children, Sandy (David) Knepfler, Michael (Linda) Bloom, Janette Deering, Tim (Tammy) Bloom, and Mary Beth (Todd LaBeau) Reed. Nancy also took great joy in her role as a grandmother, leaving behind 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren who will carry on her legacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marion (Wolf) Simon, her brothers, Bill Vermeersch and Larry Simon, and three husbands. Nancy’s memory will be treasured by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.
Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch.
