Anna Louise DeLater

Anna Louise (Hann) DeLater, age 97, passed away surrounded by her family at her home in Osceola on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Anna was born April 20, 1926, in Peoria, Illinois. On January 27, 1943, she married Henry A. "Hank" DeLater. They celebrated 73 years of marriage before his passing on August 11, 2016.
Anna is survived by her children Larry (Starlet) DeLater, and Jerry (Judy) DeLater, both of Osceola, Terry (Carol) DeLater of Caliente, California, and Sharon Woodard of Osceola, along with 9 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marcella Grzeskowiak and her son in laws, Jack Grzeskowiak and Glen Woodard.
Funeral Services will be private, and she will be laid to rest beside her husband in Olive Cemetery East in Elkhart. Cruz Family Funeral Home of Osceola has been entrusted with her care.
Anna embraced her role as a wife, mother, and homemaker with love. Her hard work and meticulous attention to detail were evident in and around the home she and Hank loved so much. Her greatest source of pride was her five children, whom she raised with love and dedication. Her love for her family extended beyond her children to her husband, whom she adored immensely. Together, they created a marriage built on love and dreams that withstood the test of time. Anna and her husband shared a love for the simple pleasures of life, often taking scenic rides through the Indiana countryside or just working together around their home finding joy in their companionship.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society as Anna was an animal lover at heart and had a special fondness for dogs.
