Cruz Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service - OsceolaRandy James Brooks, 74, of Osceola, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 8, 2026. He was born September 25, 1951, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late William James and Ervina Joette (Eby) Brooks. Randy was a graduate of Elkhart High School, class of 1969.
On March 28, 1981, he married Christina Carteaux in Elkhart. Together they shared 44 years of marriage built on love, laughter, and family. Christina survives, along with their children, William (Allison) Brooks and Carey (fiancé, Fernando Galarza) Brooks, and seven grandchildren whom Randy loved deeply: Ethan, Alex, Julianna, Antoine “A.J.,” Layla, Colleen “Cece,” and Oliver. To them, he was known affectionately as “Grampie.” He is also survived by his sister, Sharon LeCount.
Randy was the owner and operator of Asphalt Driveways, serving families throughout the Michiana area. He also worked for many years with Arab and Kevin’s Pest Control.
He enjoyed time outdoors hunting and fishing, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame Fighting Irish with enthusiasm, and in his younger years coached Little League Baseball. He also served the community as vice president of the Osceola Little League Park. Randy was known for his sense of humor, his love of a good practical joke, and the pride he took in his grandchildren.
