Crystal Robin Cooper, age 63, passed away on January 30, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana, due to complications from a stroke suffered on January 19, 2026.
Crystal was born on April 5, 1962, in Torrance, California. She was raised by her loving parents, Betty and Norman Cooper Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Norman Cooper Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her significant other, Vince Troutman of Osceola; his son Andrew Troutman and wife Dayna, and their children Aubrey and Bralynn, whom Crystal loved dearly as a devoted grandmother. She is also survived by her sister Renee (Jamie) Miller of Granger; sisters Linda Cooper, Lori Cooper, and brother Kent Cooper, all of Lake Worth, Florida; sisters Toni Siprut of Chicago and Jackie (Gary) Speich of Detroit. Crystal also leaves behind her beloved dog, Jager, her constant and faithful companion.
Crystal found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She was a devoted fan of Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Chicago Bears and loved spending time outdoors fishing, boating, and camping. She took great pleasure in flower gardening and bird watching and had a special fondness for all things that sparkled. Art, drawing and music were also meaningful outlets for her creativity.
More than anything, Crystal will be remembered for her heart. She treated everyone with kindness and respect and was always ready to help someone who needed it. She had a positive spirit, forgave easily, and didn’t hold onto resentment. When life was hard, she met it with calm and resilience, with a quiet strength that defined her.
