Nancy DelaTorre Obituary
Nancy DelaTorre, 83, of Wilmington, Delaware, went to her heavenly home on January 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in December 1942 in the Philippines, our mother Nancy made Wilmington her home for most of her life, building a legacy of love, creativity, and faith.
A gifted artist, she saw beauty in the world, and that beauty radiated through her. Her love of music and dancing has left us with many cherished memories.
Her sparkling sense of humor brightened our lives every day, and we will miss that deeply.
Our mother Nancy found peace at the beach, where she loved to relax, collect seashells, and spend precious laughter-filled moments with her family.
Her family was her greatest joy, whom she loved with her whole heart and always told us so. We loved her so much right back.
A devoted member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wilmington, she lived her faith every day and was a beautiful example of God’s love.
She joins her beloved mother, Trinidad Townsend, in heaven.
She leaves a legacy of love carried forward by her two children, four adoring grandchildren, loving friends, and devoted family in her homeland of the Philippines.
We all want to thank you Mom, from the bottom of our hearts, for being the best example of a loving mother and grandmother, and making our lives so much richer because you were there.
A private memorial will be held for family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Nancy’s memory by living as she did: finding God’s beauty in simple moments and sharing love and laughter with those around you.
