Cornel Alb Obituary
Cornel Alb age 92 of Trooper, Pa passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 22, 2026. Born in Transylvania on July 4, 1933 to the late Adam and Elisabeta Alb. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Margareta (nee Guorgy) Alb; a sister, Melania Coman, and a brother, Iosif Alb.
Cornel is survived by a daughter, Stela Suto (Emeric), son, Cornel M. Alb, (Laura); 2 grandchildren, Csilla Suto, and Isabella Nicole Alb; and a brother, Adam Alb.
Cornel worked in maintenance at the Senior Center, and kept busy fixing his house, he was a handyman with golden hands. He enjoyed talking on the phone with his relatives from NJ and Romania. He told stories of his childhood, how he came from a rural village in Transylvania. He enjoyed having fireworks on his birthday on the 4th of July.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 10-11 am on Thursday, January 29, 2026 followed by a funeral service at 11 am at Reformed Church of Ascension, 1700 W. Main Street, Norristown, Pa 19403. Cornel's service will be livestreamed. Please click on the link on his obituary page at www.MeyersFH.com under Funeral Service. His interment will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cornel’s name may be made to the Reformed Church of the Ascension.
