1955 – 2025
With deep sorrow and immense love, we announce the passing of Dr. Edgar Alb, who died on May 29, 2025, at the age of 69 in Portugal.
Edgar was a highly respected dentist, known for his skill, dedication, and genuine passion for the profession. A proud member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), he brought care, comfort, and confidence to countless patients throughout his career. Dentistry wasn't just Edgar's work, it was his calling, and he treated it as such, always with enthusiasm, compassion, and an eye for excellence.
Outside of the clinic, Edgar lived life to the fullest. He had an adventurous spirit and a zest for life that was truly contagious. He loved to ski, explore new places, and share beautiful moments with his friends and family. Edgar had the rare gift of lighting up every room he entered-his smile was ever-present, his energy magnetic, and his laughter unforgettable. To know him was to feel joy in his presence.
He was a devoted husband to Bonnie and a dedicated, loving father to his children Josh, Sarah, and Hannah, and his stepchildren Andria, Daniella, and Antonio. His family was the center of his world, and he poured his heart into every moment spent with them.
Edgar is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Margarita and Juan Alb. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie; his children, Josh, Sarah, and Hannah; his stepchildren Andria, Daniella, and Antonio; his siblings Juan Carlos, Dagmar, and Liesbeth, his sister-in-law Maria Victoria, and brothers-in-law Hugo and Jim. He will also be dearly missed by his cherished nieces and nephews: Monique, Geoffrey, Valeska, Leah, Jessica, and Sebastian.
Though his passing leaves an unfillable void, we are comforted by the memories of his warmth, laughter, and boundless love. Edgar's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 4:00pm to 7:15pm, with a service being held at 7:15pm at Memorial Funeral Home, 155 South Ave., Fanwood NJ 07023. Cremation will follow and is private.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to The Smile Train.

We are so sorry to hear of Dr. Alb's passing. We have been going to him for the past few years and he is so good at his craft and so funny. I think I have seen him wear funny glasses or costume like accessories, not only on Halloween but when it's not Halloween - on a number occasions. He was always talking to his staff about their days and lives, and I have heard him talking about his vacations or trips, he seemed to have a wonderful life and loving family.

I´ve been going to Dr. Alb for 15 years. My husband recommended me and my kids. When I heard of his passing my heart was so heavy. I remember his conversations. Always energetic and a joy to be around. I knew I was in good hands. I remember the last time I saw him. I had a cleaning and he came in the room full of energy. I asked him about his vacation. Another memory I have is when my teenage daughter needed braces and I asked him how he became a dentist and he told his story . I will never forget. Prayers for his family. Thank you Dr. Alb for not only being a great dentist but a friend. You will be missed.

Dr. Alb, What a Great guy! Finding Dr. Alb was a dream come true. My Family has been extremely fortunate to have Dr. Alb. as our dentist and friend. My Oldest son Bill had teeth that looked like a "Great white shark" & Dr. Alb was able to correct his smile. Bill won the Mr. JFK competition for his senior year and the one event that i will cherish forever is GREATEST SMILE! Thank you, Dr. Alb. With a Heavy heart i say RIP and we love and will miss you terribly you're a wonderful person with an enormous heart and love for your profession and we are Blessed to have you in our lives.
