Nancy Jeanette Douzart, age 78, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday January 26, 2019. Nancy was born July 23, 1940 to Dorothy Mae Wells and T. Ray Wells in Pineville, Louisiana. Nancy graduated as Valedictorian from Pineville High School. She received her Bachelors degree from Louisiana Baptist College and her Master's from University of Houston; graduated Magna Cum Laude from both.

Nancy was married to Clifton M. Douzart on July 6, 1962. She had a career in education, teaching mathematics, for Houston Independent School District. She was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. Nancy had a passion for eating, shopping, getting her hair done, going to movies, spending time with family and helping anyone in need.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Clifton M. Douzart; son Shannon Douzart and his wife Marlene; and daughter Sheila Douzart; brother Larry Wells and his wife Fae; grandchildren Miranda Lynn Douzart, Rachael Douzart and Cody Douzart.

Nancy was preceded in death by; mother Dorothy Mae Wells and father T. Ray Wells.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Grand Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home - Grand Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 with a committal service to follow immediately at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
