Mrs. Nancy Jo Dugger Hollis, 93, retired educator and longtime resident of Lynnville, TN died Monday, December 29, 2025 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Pulaski.
Graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lynnwood Cemetery with Bro. Milton Stephens officiating. Memorials may be made to Richland School Library 10610 Columbia Hwy, Lynnville, TN 38472. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with the arrangements.
She was born on May 16, 1932 in Maury County, TN to the late Paul H. Dugger, Sr. and the late Sarah Maude Hewitt Dugger. Nancy graduated from Jones High School in Lynnville in 1950, received her Bachelor’s degree from Martin Methodist and her Master’s degree in education from Middle Tennessee State University. She taught a combined total of 47 years at Jones High School and Richland Elementary. She was also a longtime member of Lynnville Methodist Church where she taught Bible school for several years. Nancy was a wonderful cook and an excellent seamstress.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Allen Hollis, Sr. on March 12, 2005; her brother Paul H. Dugger, Jr. and a great grandson.
Survivors include her daughter Teresa Ann Hollis Wells (Lyles) of Decatur, Alabama; two sons, Bobby Allen Hollis Jr. (Ann) and Bill Dugger Hollis (Diane) both of Lynnville, TN; nine grandchildren, Joseph Allen Wells, Saralell Wells Vaughn (Jackson), Scott Dugger Hollis (Rachel), Bobby Allen Hollis III, William Wiseman Hollis, Paul Ross Hollis (Haley), Leslie Diane Hollis Miller (Matt), Emily Laura Hollis, and John Braxton Hollis; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was cared for by her youngest son Bill, and two special friends, Lisa Tiller and Margaret Wright.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
