Nancy Jean Swanson Evans
On April 4th, 2022 our beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend returned to her Heavenly Father following a hard-fought battle with Parkinsonism.
Nancy Jean Swanson Evans was born October 11, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was a loving daughter to Harriet and Frank Nakielski.
After a brief service in the US Air Force, she moved from Minneapolis to Utah to attend Weber State College, where she met her husband of 56 years, Ralph Nolan Evans.
In her late teens, Nancy was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including Primary, Sunday School and activities committee.
Nancy and Nolan were blessed with three daughters and one son. She was very patient, never raising her voice and taught her children how to cook, sew, dance and run a business. She was even a finalist in the National Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest and won a trip to Hawaii.
Nancy and Nolan started FunDaze, a successful family business that gave their children an opportunity to learn at a young age how to appreciate hard work. Nancy was dedicated to her family and loved serving the community through their business.
Her greatest gifts were her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Her family parties were full of laughter and fun, planning them was one of her greatest joys.
Christ-like service filled every aspect of her life. Her children remember her selfless daily hours of baking, sewing, being a taxi, cheering at events and so much more.
Her laughter, which at times left her speechless and crying, and her loving nature will leave a huge void.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother David, and sister Dianne.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Nolan Evans, daughters: Gina (Michael) Stamm, Ginger (Brandon) Johnstun, Tiffany (Richard) Schoenfeld and son, Brian (Dianna) Evans; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 6-8 PM and prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 AM at Myers Mortuary 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah.
Interment will be in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Oh Nolan, I´m so sorry we were never able to get together. I loved Nancy dearly. She was my first best friend I made at Weber State. She was just so fun to be around. She was the instigator of my love of hair color in it´s varying shades. She was still just as beautiful as ever. You were the perfect couple and still are.I love you my friend and may Heavenly Father encircle you and your beautiful family in his love. Irene
