Nancy Jean Farrington, 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Marion, Ohio on June 4, 1946, the daughter of the late Clifford and Clara (Trumbo) Britton.
On January 16, 1965, she married Robert Lloyd “Bob” Farrington, and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Shelly (Vic) Anderson and Brian (Shannon) Farrington, all of Wapakoneta, four step grandchildren, 12 step great grandchildren, a brother, Jim R. Britton of Richwood, her fiancé’, Larry Paver of Belle Center, and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Beth Stachler of Bellefontaine.
Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Byhalia High School and still enjoyed getting together with her classmates each month. She went on to graduate from cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for many years, most recently for Eclips By Design Salon, Bellefontaine. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine, where she served as a Deacon. She enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends "The Golden Girls" and enjoyed bowling in her retirement.
Pastor Greg Menssen will officiate a Celebration of Life service at 12Noon on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the First United Presbyterian Church, 117 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Friends may call to the church, two hours prior to the service on Saturday, from 10 to 12Noon. There will be a luncheon following the service, at the church. Private burial will be in Byhalia Cemetery, Union County at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ViaQuest Hospice, 16900 Square Dr, Suite 100, Marysville, OH 43040.
