Nancy Catherine Ford Fields, 85, of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully, at her home, August 15th, 2024. She was born June 14th, 1939, in Robeson County and attended Fairmont HS. She was a member of Wesley’s Chapel UMC. Retired from North Carolina State Agricultural Extension Service, Bladen County. She was an active member of many clubs and associations. Some of which are the following: United Methodist Women, Red Hat Club, SEANC, and ABWA.

 Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Elmon Fields.

She is survived by her brother George Ford (Brenda) of Lumberton, NC, her son Michael Fields (Vanessa) of Elizabethtown, NC, daughters: Nancy Fields Holden (Leroy) of Conway, SC, Gail Amato of Wilmington, NC, Connie Wilson (Craig) of Wilson, NC and Kay Waddell (David) of Bolivia, NC. Left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Trystan Holden (Laine), infant son Barrett, of Little River, SC, Jessie Amato Hatcher (Bradley), children :Nadia, Arianna, Aidan and Ryker, of Wilmington, NC, Chris Amato (Eleanor) of Cary, NC, Joe Waddell (Lu) of Geneva, NY, Steffi Waddell Manget (Koy) of Decatur, GA, Kristy Wilson Anderton (Donnie) children: Jordyn, Chayson, Brooklynn, Nolyn & Waelynn, of Fort Mills, SC and Samantha Wilson Tetter (Nick) children; Jacob, Ava, Paxton and Shephard of Abingdon, VA.

 The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the Wesley's Chapel in Elizabethtown followed by a funeral service at 4 pm. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery. The Reverend Eckie Lancaster and Reverend Donald Daniels will be officiating.
