Nancy Ann (Way) Gilpatrick was born May 22, 1934, in Dearborn, Michigan and died peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the age of 90. Nancy was the loving wife of Ronald W. Gilpatrick (deceased) of Detroit, they married in 1952 and celebrated 56 years of marriage before his death in 2008.

Nancy and Ronald purchased their first Allen Park home in 1961 and raised their busy family within the community of Allen Park, Michigan for more than sixty years. Ronald retired from the McLouth Steel Mill where he worked as a crane operator and Nancy was a long time dedicated employee of Allen Park Public Schools as well as the former Security Bank & Trust. Nancy was a loving neighbor, known to everyone on the block and was the coordinator of every neighborhood gathering and family need for many years. She loved to crochet and was an avid reader and collector of books, always thinking of others during her daily devotions and scripture readings, as she underlined and wrote notes within passages of personal thoughts and connections.
