Nancy A. Glenn, 80, of Dover, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 in Community Hospice-Truman House at New Philadelphia, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born at Dennison, she was the daughter of the late Duane and Elizabeth (Ashleman) Miller and a graduate of the former Tuscarawas-Warwick High School at Tuscarawas. A longtime employee of Fenton Brother’s Electric at New Philadelphia, Nancy was still currently working as a bookkeeper for the company, where she had been a dedicated and trusted employee for over 40 years.
Nancy loved being with her family and friends. If it was going out to dinner, or just being together, she was a person who was “always on the go” and would never turn down an invitation. For Nancy, her family was her number one priority and she was proud of each and everyone of them and was always willing to become anyone’s mom or grandma. She also loved planting flowers and decorating her home for the various seasons. She would always set the perfect table for everyone to enjoy. She celebrated life… she lived it and enjoyed every minute of it.
Nancy was also a longtime member of Sharon Moravian Church at Tuscarawas, the New Philadelphia Elks, and Dover Historical Society. She was also a former member of the Atwood Yacht Club.
Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Carol Withem of New Philadelphia, Beth (Tracy) Tedrow of New Philadelphia and Jay Robinson of Port Orange, Florida; her granddaughter, Elizabeth (Daniel) Sickinger of Dover; her grandson, Nick Withem of New Philadelphia and her brother, Robert (Marilyn) Miller of Michigan.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Donald F. Glenn and her sister, Madelyn Cheney also precede her in death.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 4 to 7 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home at New Philadelphia. A service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 beginning at 2 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery at Tuscarawas.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Community Hospice-Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
