Nancy Ann Goodenow, 81, of Conneaut passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
She was born November 24, 1942, in Orwell, Ohio the daughter of the late Harry and Alta (Bailey) Kraft. Nancy was an avid BINGO player. She was always young at heart. She was an 18-year-old in and 81 years old body. She was known to have fun colored hair and always had fingernails and toes to match.
Nancy was a loving mother, and she spent her life raising her children. She always enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her children, William (Toni) Switzer of Kentucky, Violet Griggs of Arizona, Twila (Richard) Wick of Kingsville, Cheryl Stapleton, Daniel (Denise) Culver, and Kim Culver all of Conneaut; brother, Monty Kraft of Georgia; son-in-law, Mike Williams of Jefferson; adopted son, James (Charleen) Rought of Ashtabula; sisters-in-law, Yolanda and Joann Kraft; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Goodenow; daughters, Cindy Williams, and Alta Bolinger; brothers, Charles, Cecil, Sherman, and Harry Kraft; sisters, Mable (Lewis) Thompson, and Linda (Lou) White; sister-in-law, Shirley Kraft; grandson, Cecil Culver; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12PM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Thompson-Smith-Nesbitt Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with Pastor Tim Kraus of the Conneaut Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service at 12PM.
Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in her name to the family.
