OXFORD- Joan L. (Alexander) Desjardns, Goodenow, 87, born on October 15, 1937, in Brunswick, Maine, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025.
She was the daughter of John Alexander and Mae (Brown) Alexander.
Joan was a hard worker and retired from Etonic Shoe in Richmond in 1999. She was loved by her family and friends. Her favorite past time was family gathering, playing cards, and listening to her favorite music by Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn!
Joan is predeceased by both her parents, two husbands, Orel Desjardins and Ernest Goodenow, three sisters, Patricia, Myrtle, and Joyce, her son, Andy Desjardins, her grandson, Daniel Colby and her granddaughter, Kayla Seigars.
Joan is survived by her son, Orrin Desjardins of Norridgewock; son, Orel Desjardins and wife, Lorraine of Bowdoinham; daughter, Laurie Auger and husband Damien of Oxford; daughter in law, Kim Desjardins of Bowdoinham and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
A Spring graveside service to honor Joan's life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11 AM at Bayview Cemetery, 333 Bay Rd, Bowdoinham, ME
