Nancy Grandon Obituary

Nancy Grace Grandon, 84, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in Evergreen Assisted Living. She was born September 23, 1940, in Washington, a daughter of the late Clarence Walker and Vivian Mattox Henderson. Nancy was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. She worked for some time as a glass packer at Brockway Glass before becoming a full-time mom and wife. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, and traveling with her husband in their retirement years. On June 10, 1961, in Washington, she married the love of her life, Donald L. Grandon, who passed away April 10, 2016. Surviving are a son, Eric L. (Nancy) Grandon of Claysville; a daughter, Dawn L. (Gary) Dzurino of Foley, Ala.; four grandsons, Scott (Nicole) and Brady (Katie) Grandon, and Jake and Eli (Chelsea) Dzurino; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Kenneth Henderson; and two sisters, Audrey Plants and Kathleen Alderson. The family would like to thank Evergreen Assisted Living and OSPTA Hospice for their loving and exceptional care of Nancy in her final days. All services are private and entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors, Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor, Andrew C. Piatt, director.
