Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home - Flemingsburg on Dec. 8, 2025.
Nancy Pearl Hall, 84, of Tollesboro, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, surrounded by her family. She was the widow of Pastor Carl D. Hall.
Born in Tell City, Indiana on July 13, 1941, Nancy was the daughter of the late Nelson Leroy Reynolds and the late Muriel Hawhee Reynolds.
Raised in Perry County, Ind., Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Tell City High School. For several years she worked for GE before moving to Kentucky in 1978, where she became a long time school bus driver for Letcher, Lee, and Mason County Schools. She retired in 2011.
Throughout her life, Nancy was a creative soul. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful projects, most of which she gave to others. She loved music, playing the piano and organ at every church she attended. She loved animals of all kinds – feeding the hummingbirds, collecting cardinals, and her two beloved dogs, Spunky & Sadie. She loved to read and watch game shows. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Flemingsburg Senior Center. Nancy was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers, Cincinnati Reds, and sometimes the UK Wildcats.
Nancy attended several churches throughout her life as a pastor's wife. From Indiana to southeastern Kentucky, Nancy called many churches home. A devoted Christian, Nancy never failed to attend services whenever the doors were open, up until her illness in September 2025. She was and is a great example of the Christian Life. Nancy was member of Foxport Baptist Church, where she has served for the last 17 years.
She is survived by her three children, Carol Mills and husband Eddie of Tell City, Ind., Deana Hall and John Baker of Tollesboro, Ky., Alan Schroeder and wife Nancy of Tell City, Ind.; her three grandchildren, Alie Hedinger and husband Jared, Alex Schroeder and wife Amanda (both of Ind.) and James Paul O'Bannon of Tollesboro, Ky.; and her four great grandchildren, Brandt, Katherine, Noah, and Aria.
