Nancy Lynn Hanagan, age 70, of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton, WI. She was born on April 22, 1953 in Neenah, WI, daughter of Alexander and Marge (Brien) Gasper. Nancy was married to Kim Hanagan for 42 years.
Nancy graduated from Neenah High Scholl in the class of 1972. She worked at Jansport for over 20 years and then finished her career at Fleet Farm. Nancy enjoyed embroidering and making quilts for the Family, cruising in her FunCar, sitting outside during the summer sipping cocktails, watching the world go by while listening to the oldies from the 70's and 80's and last but not least, enjoying our reminiscing talks of all our awesome days we had together.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Kim Hanagan; two sons Ryan and Mark Thiel; two grandsons Alex and Jake Thiel and their mother Angie Kohl; brothers and sisters-in-law Dan (Kris) Gasper; sister-in-law Deborah Gasper; Pat (Cheryl) Hanagan, Scott (Angie) Hanagan, and Keith (Lynn) Hanagan; and also Nancy's favorite companion, her Golden Retriever Mattie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Jeff Gasper and father and mother-in-laws Kenneth and Mary Hanagan.
A big thank you to Laura Kuester and Mike Petersen for introducing us two back on June 21, 1980.
Per Nancy's wishes, she will be cremated and there will not be a funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Nancy's family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion.
