Nancy Ruth Hasselmann (Markmann)
Clinton-Nancy R. (Markmann) Hasselmann, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty years, Roger T. Hasselmann; their children and spouses, Marlene Wheeler & Warren of Lunenburg; Joseph L. Hasselmann, Sr. & Carol of
Littleton, NH; Steven P. Hasselmann & Dorothy of
Jacksonville, FL; Keith A. Hasselmann of
San Francisco, CA; and Erin Hasselmann of Gardner; her sister, Bernice Birrell & husband James of South Hadley; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre-deceased by her brother Herbert W. Markmann.
Nancy was born in Framingham, daughter of the late Harry & Bernice (Ellis) Markmann. In addition to raising her family, Nancy and her husband Roger owned and operated Family Livery Service in Clinton for many years. A Senior Soldier in the Fitchburg Salvation Army, Nancy was an adored member of the Women's Ministry Program and fellowship. Among her many pleasures, she enjoyed ceramics, camping, dancing, singing, and playing Bingo. Above all, she was the proud family matriarch, loving wife, mother, and grammy. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 5 until 7PM with a service to follow at 7PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
