Nancy Lee (Williamson) Hoffmeyer,98, a cherished member of her community and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024, at Hacienda Oaks Nursing Home in Beeville, Texas.
Nancy was born on May 2, 1926, in Caldwell County, Texas, to Perrin Williamson and Myra (Harris) Williamson. Nancy lived a life full of kindness and dedication to her family and community.
She was a graduate of A C Jones High School and married Stanley Hoffmeyer on September 16, 1946. Nancy went on to have a successful career as a Manager for the Catalog Department at J C Penney's Department Store. She also served as the secretary of the Mineral Cemetery Association.
Nancy was deeply involved in her spiritual community as a proud member of the Mineral Baptist Church, where she dedicated her time to teaching Sunday School.
Known for her kind and caring personality, Nancy often went out of her way to assist others, including giving rides to residents of Mineral for appointments, traveling as far as Houston when needed. Her compassion and willingness to help those in need left a lasting impact on many lives.
Nancy is preceded in death by her loving parents, Perrin Williamson and Myra (Harris) Williamson; her husband, Stanley Hoffmeyer; and her beloved sisters, Billie Marie Gunderman, Dorothy Faye Gilmore, and Mildred Bruce Stokley. She is also preceded in death by her children, Stanley Perrin, Darrell Keith, John Lee, and Nancy Louis.
She is survived by a daughter, Gwyndolyn Hoffmeyer Forgue; a son, Henry "Hank" Hoffmeyer; a sister, Myra Walters; four granddaughters; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 27, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 28, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Rex Harrell officiating at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville, Texas.
Burial will follow in the Mineral Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tim Stokley Jr., Colby Lee, Chris Lee, Larry Baer, Jimmy Vinson, Richard Kimbrough, Devin Walters, and Brian Walters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Gunderman, Jimmy King, Emmett Lee, Jason Walters, Darell Walters, and Bobby Walters.
Nancy Lee (Williamson) Hoffmeyer leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith that will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her spirit and kindness will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
