Nancy Jack-Todd Obituary
Nancy Jack Todd was the lyrical documentarian of the birth of the environmental movement. With her husband John Todd, she founded The New Alchemy Institute on Cape Cod and Ocean Arks International.
She edited the Journal of the New Alchemists, The Book of the New Alchemists, and Annals of Earth, authored A Safe and Sustainable World, and co-authored with John: Tomorrow Is Our Permanent Address, and Bioshelters, Ocean Arks, City Farming; Ecology as the Basis for Design.
Together they were recipients of The Bioneers Award, The Lindbergh Award for Design, The Daimler Chrysler Award for Design, The UN Award, the Threshold Award and the Santa Barbara Eco Hero Award. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ocean Arks International to continue earth stewardship.
Nancy's dedication at the beginning of A Safe and Sustainable World is to John, her children, and grandchildren. To all children. With hope.
Burial will be private.
