Nancy O. Jacob

With deep love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Nancy Olsen Jacob.
Born on August 4, 1940 in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, Nancy was the first of two children. She enjoyed farm life in the small town of Sleepy Eye, eventually moving to the big city of Minneapolis. There, she met Donald E. Jacob. They were married on November 25, 1966 and shared 58 years of love and partnership. Together they built a life, two Cincinnati homes, and traveled the world spending many winters in Oaxaca, Mexico. Throughout her life Nancy enjoyed so many things including: cooking, golfing, bowling, reading, popping popcorn, and sharing a cold beer or hot coffee with friends and family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Cleo K. and Ralph R. Olsen, brother Joel K. Olsen, father in law Albert W. Jacob, mother in law Janet H. Jacob, and son in law William E. Bolger. She was devoted to her family and is survived by her husband Donald, daughter Lynne C. Bolger, her grandson Matt, granddaughter Sara and grandson Luke all of whom carry her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, May 28 at Gilligan Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather to share stories, duplicate her laugh and remember a woman who gave the world much just by being herself. Please join us to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Hospice of Cincinnati or Alzheimer's Disease Research in her honor, the BrightFocus Foundation.
Nancy Olsen Jacob lived a long, full and meaningful life. Though we mourn her passing, we give thanks for the years we shared, and her love and laugh that will never truly leave us.
