Nancy Kay White Davis
Nancy Kay White Davis, age 68, passed away peacefully at her home after fourteen plus years battling cancer surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born on December 14, 1952 at Queen City Infirmary in Tullahoma, Tennessee. She was a 1974 graduate of David Lipscomb College. Nancy married Roger Davis in March 1973. She dedicated her life to her family and to her faith. Nancy served as a church education supervisor and teacher. She exceled in her skills as a hostess and seamstress and held a lifelong passion for cooking and baking. Along with many friends, Nancy successfully led multiple fund raisers for Lipscomb Campus School (Lipscomb Academy). Her life was centered on the lives and activities of her children and husband social, athletic, service, pharmacy practice, travel.
She is survived by her husband Roger; Children: Andrea Kristen, Tyler Braxton (Katy), and Lee Braeden (Victoria) and two granddaughters (Brooklyn Lacey and Oakley June); Brother Jerry Alfred White (Mimi); Nephews: Jonathan Baxter (Leslie): Thomas Alfred; Niece: Jennifer Holland Baker (Brad) and four great nephews (Coleman, Mac, Mason Baker and Braxton White) and family by love (Patrick, Nikki, Amaree, Ali, Sara, and Kate Moss).
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents R. Alfred and Pauline White and her in-laws Opal and Eulos (Slim) Davis.
The family wishes to express its eternal gratitude to the physicians and their staff who have cared for her over these past fourteen and a half years: Dr. Terri Jerkins, Dr. Randy Jerkins, Dr. Anthony Meluch, Dr. Chris Wilbeck, Dr. Sanji Kumar, and Dr. Jeffery Hymes. Immense gratitude is also given to Nancy's many friends who continuously provide so much care and protection for her during these years.
Visitation will be at Bellevue Church of Christ Friday, November 26, 2021 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturday, November 27, 2021 12:30pm – 2:00pm. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00pm. The interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, Tennessee 37221
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Christian Broadcasting or the Nancy White Davis Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Nutrition at Lipscomb University.
