Nancy Edna Koon

Nancy Edna Koon, 82, of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully under the care of her family and Henry Ford Hospice Home Jackson, November 1, 2025. Nancy's family and friends will gather 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel and 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 6, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with her funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. Rev. Dr. Amalorpavanathan Rayapillai, ScD will serve as celebrant. Interment will take place at Oak Grove cemetery in Napoleon.

Nancy was born fourth of six children on February 4, 1943, in Wyoming Township, Michigan to Alfred and Clare (Wolf) Wolf. She married the love of her life, Darrell Koon in 1967. They enjoyed many years together until his passing in 2022.

Nancy attended Holy Name Catholic school from first to eighth grade and then Grand Rapids Catholic Central, graduating in 1961. After high school, she attended Grand Rapids Jr. College earning her license in Practical Nursing. From May 1963-May of 1965, Nancy was stationed in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil serving others in the Peace Corp. Nancy enjoyed her hobbies of bowling, golfing and reading, but her greatest joy was being a homemaker and raising her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.

Nancy will be greatly missed by her children, Jeff (Angie) and Andy (Chrissy) Koon; siblings, Terry (Barb) Wolf and Verne (Penny) Wolf, and Kathy (Jerome) Wisnewski ; brother -in-law Bob Poortvliet and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Darrell, her parents Alfred and Clare, her sister Pat and brother Willie and his wife Sally.
