Nancy Joyce Langlitz, 80, of Flora Vista, went to be with her Savior on October 13, 2023.
Nancy, the youngest of three siblings, was born on April 25,1943 to William and Eula Berkstresser in Carlsbad, New Mexico. After graduating from Carlsbad High School in 1961, she went on to attend beautician school in Carlsbad.
After graduation, she met William ("Bill") Langlitz, and they wed in 1962, going on to have two children, Randy and Seretha. Bill and Nancy celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in June 2023.
Nancy is known and loved by many in our San Juan County community. Bill and Nancy have been in Flora Vista since 1976. Nancy worked for a local bank, the county road department, and retired after working for HUD a number of years.
Nancy was passionate about her faith as a Christian and her church family at FBC Bloomfield. When she wasn't serving at her church with warmth and kindness, she could be found gardening, painting, or playing the piano in recent years. We will miss her greatly.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents William and Eula Berkstresser, sister, Rita Lou Berkstresser, and brother, Jim Bill Berkstresser.
She is survived by her son Leonard Langlitz and wife Patsy of Albuquerque; her son Randy Langlitz and wife Toni of Flora Vista; her daughter Seretha Langlitz of San Francisco; ten grandchildren - Tyson Langlitz, Leanna Langlitz, Justin (Sarah) Langlitz, Christopher Langlitz, Lindsay Langlitz, Shayna Langlitz, Caleb Langlitz, Michaela (Christian) Lewis, Savannah Langlitz, and Abigail Langlitz; and six great-grandchildren Nicholas, Tyler, Lucas, Lucas, Callista and Quintyn.
There will be a funeral service at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Bloomfield, 200 W Sycamore Ave, Bloomfield, NM 87413.
