Nancy Ann Lantz, age 79, of Buckhannon, WV formerly of Lauderhill, FL, died Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV. She was born October 16, 1946, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Herb and Amy Phillips Stalnaker. On June 6, 1965, she married Danny Lantz who preceded her in death on April 24, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also, preceded in death by one son, Ryan Lantz and one sister, Carol Crow. She is survived by one son, Brian Lantz of Buckhannon; three nephews, David Crow and wife Carmen of Santo Domingo, Wayne Crow and Debbie of Landcaster, PA and Steve Crow and wife Sue of Cumberland, MD and one niece, Debbie Crow of Washington Crossing, PA. Mrs. Lantz was a graduate from Buckhannon – Upshur High School in 1964. She received her bachelor's in teaching from Glenville State University and received her master's degree in Sports Medicine at WVU. She was a former member of the WV Strawberry Festival Association, former member of the Upshur County EMS and a former EMT Instructor. Mrs. Lantz was a Security Officer for Security Cypress Bag High School and then she was Security Officer for two Time Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. She loved spending time with her family outdoors camping and going to the beach. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 12 Noon until 3 PM at the South Buckhannon Mission Church with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to South Buckhannon Mission Church. In honoring Mrs. Lantz's wishes, she will be cremated.
