Nancy Larson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Erickson Funeral Home, Ltd. - Darlington on Aug. 15, 2023.
Nancy L. Larson, 71, of Dodgeville, WI, passed away Friday August 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center in Dodgeville, WI. She was born on August 23, 1951 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Robert and Betty McKenna. Nancy grew up in Gratiot, WI. She graduated from Blackhawk High school and attended some college courses at UW-Platteville and MATC. Nancy pursued a career at Barber Colman/Merkle Korff for greater than 30 years.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kristen Larson (Jim McMannes) of Dodgeville, WI, son, Ryan (Kayla) Larson of Mifflin WI; grandchildren, Mitchell (Kaitlyn) Wagner of Linden, WI, and Sophie Larson of Mifflin, WI; she was looking forward to meeting her first Great Grandchild, Baby Wagner, in January 2024; one sister, Donna (Denny) Breed of Warren, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Betty McKenna.
Nancy loved her family and never missed an opportunity to get together with them. She would especially light up when seeing her grandchildren. In her early adult years, she enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, and writing. Nancy loved to travel, especially with her family, going for a boat ride or sitting by the water front. She enjoyed reading and watching westerns or Blue Bloods. She never missed an opportunity to stop for a McDonald's Diet Coke as "they have the best"! She enjoyed trying her luck at the Casinos, especially when her family joined her. Nancy will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Nancy's family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the Upland Hills Hospice Team, Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center, and Upland Hills Health Med-Surg staff for the excellent care provided these last couple weeks. Your kindness and generosity will not be forgotten.
Following Nancy's wishes there will be a visitation on Friday August 18, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Erickson Funeral Home (Darlington, WI). A rosary will be prayed at 3:30 P.M. at Erickson Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ericksonfuneralhome.com.
