Nancy Laster

Nancy Laster born on August 3, 1960, to Dorothy and Joseph Laster and immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Nancy went on to graduate from Danville high school. Everyone that knew her knows she was lady that loved her makeup and jewelry and getting dolled up. She also enjoyed a good movie or TV show and some good ole soul music.
Nancy went on in life to be a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children. Family came first and was above all else to Nancy and a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
Nancy Laster is predeceased by her father Joe Louis Laster Senoir, brothers Joe Louis Laster Jr. and Calvin Laster and her beloved son Curtis Turner Jr. She is survived by her loving mother Dorothy Laster, sisters Wanda and Sandra Laster, children Charisma Hammock (Mark), Tremaine Turner and Tavia Laster (Glenn), and Aunts Delphinia Glover and Betty Morris, grandchildren Tremale Curtis Turner, Treimere Jerel Turner, Riley and Giana Collins, as well as her always and forever and father to her children Curtis Turner and Terence Todd and her lifelong boyfriend of 23 years Gregg Battle. She also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and their children that will miss her dearly.
Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what's to be, a resting place along the road to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way, we all were meant to learn something, but never meant to stay. Our destination is a place far greater than we know, for some, the journey is quicker, for some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward, and find an everlasting peace, together with the Lord.
