Taurus "Tc" Cook

Taurus Lamar Cook affectionally known as "TC", a devoted father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and uncle, was born on November 22, 1978, in Decatur, Illinois, to James Arthur Cook and Aldenette Joyner Cook. He departed this life on January 6, 2026.
Taurus was educated in the Decatur Public School System, graduating from Stephen Decatur High School, where he was a standout athlete. He continued his education at Hutchinson Junior College in Hutchinson, Kansas, and later attended the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
A gifted basketball player, Taurus was recently honored with induction into the Decatur Public Schools Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding career with the Running Reds basketball team at Stephen Decatur High School.
Taurus had a deep love for sports and found his greatest joy in spending time with his family-especially his beloved nieces and nephews.
He began his professional career after earning his CDL license while living in Marietta, Georgia. At the time of his passing, Taurus was living and working in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Taurus will be remembered for his dedication to family, his compassionate, caring, and calm spirit, his athletic achievements, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
