Nancy L. Lester

Nancy L. Lester, 71, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 18, 1954, in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of Jack Oldham and Emma Charlene (Wright) Bundy.
Nancy grew up the eldest of 9 children. They lived on the family farm in Idaho, and Nancy was responsible for animals and helping with her younger siblings. She attended school in Springfield. In her adult life, she really loved to her shows. Reality TV, Cops, and cooking shows were her favorite. She also enjoyed watching the old NASCAR races. Nancy decorated the entire house for Christmas and Halloween with vintage decorations, either bought or made by the children in school or as art projects at home. She absolutely loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time with them as much as possible. Nancy also enjoyed chasing the balloons that flew during July, starting at the Battle Creek Balloon Festival.
Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Joyel Lester of Battle Creek, MI, Kimberly (Gregory) Miller of Battle Creek, MI; five sisters, Christine Jolley, Debra Oldham, Percella Brown, Charlotte Serbantez, Sue Ann Bundy of Springfield, MI; five Grandchildren, Ashley (Terrell) Blakes, Dominic (Carrie) Ochampaugh, Jordan Lawson, Hannah Lawson, Alexia Spitzley; 6 Great Grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnnie Harold Oldham, Brother, Freeman Bundy, Brother, Danny Oldham, and lifelong partner, Daniel Force.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Wednesday June 18, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with a memorial to follow at 3:00 pm.
