Nancy L. Lindsay, age 75, of
Montgomery, IL., passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026. Nancy was born July 21, 1950 in
Charleston, Illinois, and is the daughter of James Edward Wiltermood and Mary Wilma (Walker) Caldwell. Nancy was raised in the Kendall County area, where she attended grade school through high school, later obtaining her GED. She attended cosmetology school, and was a prominent hair dresser throughout her life. Nancy married her best friend, Larry Eugene Lindsay on August 4, 1976, in Aurora, IL. They enjoyed 40 years together, where they raised their blended family and cared for their several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed working with her husband at arts and crafts shows, where Larry sold his handmade wood carvings. For their retirement, they adored traveling the United States, working as campground hosts in their mobile home for several camping sites. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren while being a campground host. They made many friends and memories throughout their twelve years traveling America together.
Nancy is survived by her daughter- Linda Seitz (Neal Dewitz), of
Montgomery, Illinois, and her ten grandchildren- Alicia Edlemon, Amanda Edlemon (Matthew Fischer), Nancy Seitz, Jessica Seitz (Kyle Hammel), Miranda Seitz (Kole Perkins), Conner Johnson, Kahlen Seitz, Karsen Mclain, Marissa Dewitz, and Landyn Shullaw, and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters- Bette Farwell (Frank Farwell) of Dundee, IL., and Ruth Dortch of Litchfield, IL., and one brother- Gary Wiltermood (Evelyn Wiltermood) of Augusta, IL., and several nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Preceding Nancy in death are her parents- James Wiltermood and Mary Caldwell, her beloved husband, Larry Lindsay, and her sister- Wilma Mobley.
Family will be receiving guests on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway,
Montgomery, IL 60538.
