Nancy Lopez

Nancy Lopez, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. She was born on June 14, 1938, and lived a life centered on family, hard work, and simple joys.

Nancy enjoyed cooking, bowling, and reading, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her great-grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply.

She retired from First Union after many years of dedicated service and later worked at Food Lion for more than 10 years, where she formed lasting friendships and was well known for her kindness and reliability.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Randy; her husband, Vince; her parents, Theda and John; her brothers, Dicky, Sammy, and Mike; and her sister, Mary Ann.

She is survived by her daughter, Johnna, and husband Ron; her son, Jim, and wife Lottie; her grandchildren, Heather, Ron, Farrah, and Brock; her great-grandchildren, Natalie and Memphis; her special grandson-in-law, Briar; and brother, Johnny and wife Karen. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to close friends from Food Lion and to family members for their love, support, and kindness during this time.

Nancy will be remembered for her warm heart, dedication to family, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her.
