Nancy Miarecki Obituary

Visit the Kurtz Memorial Chapel - Frankfort website to view the full obituary.

Age 68, of Mokena, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.

Nancy lived her life with a servant’s heart. She was never happier than when she was helping someone in need and sharing the love of God. Her faith in Christ was the foundation of everything she did, and her joy came from serving Him faithfully. Nancy shared over four decades of love and companionship with her husband, Len, who was the center of her world here on earth. She poured that same deep love and care into her children, guiding them with tenderness, faith, and unwavering support. She especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, who brought her endless joy.

Nancy also found peace and delight in her garden, where she poured the same love and care into God’s creation as she did into the people around her. She was wonderfully creative, able to make little masterpieces out of almost nothing, with a gift for seeing beauty and potential where others might not. Nancy had a special gift of instantly connecting with others, making each person she met feel seen, valued, and loved.

Her life was a living testimony of Matthew 25:23: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Nancy is survived by her loving children, Ryan (Rachael) Miarecki, Stephanie (Brandon) Caruso, Lauren (Ryan) Fisher, Carrie (Karl Poling) Miarecki, beloved grandchildren, Noah Caruso, Charlie Caruso, Jemma Caruso, Henry Miarecki, Lenny Caruso, siblings, Cheryl Horell, Danny (Mary) Hoessler, Cheryl Rajewski, Bob Rajewski, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Nancy was proceeded in death by her adoring husband Leonard Miarecki, parents Shirley Hoessler and Eugene (Judy) Hoessler.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday September 17, 2025, from 3PM until 8PM with a memorial service at 7PM. Funeral will take place Thursday September 18, 2025, where Nancy will lie in state from 10AM until time of prayers at 11AM. Interment to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. will follow at 12:30PM.
