Nancy Gail Mixon

Nancy Gail Mixon, 60, of Lonoke, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024.  She was born in North Little Rock, AR to Don E. Scott and Marjorie Newton Slaton.  

Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents, and 3 grandchildren, Julie Cosentino, DJ and Darius Johnson. 

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael Mixon; sister Donna Jones (Jay) of LeRoy, NY; children, son, Jerry Caldwell (Rebecca) of Kingsland, TX, daughter, Suzann Thomas (Jacob) of Ward, AR, son, Joey Caldwell of Boise, ID and son, Jonathan Scott (Samantha) of Sherwood, AR; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; also, numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.  

Nancy was a member of the Roberson Memorial Baptist Church.  She loved being a nana and spending time with and spoiling her grandbabies.  Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, and touring historical landmarks.  She lit up a room with her smile and always had a story to tell that started with “what had happened was” She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.  

A visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Boyd Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral service will be 10:00am, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Roberson Memorial Baptist Church, located at 3084 Hwy 15N, Lonoke.  Arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
