Nancy Katherine Moore

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Katherine Moore, beloved sister, dedicated educator, and cherished community member, who departed this life on November 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on October 14, 1949, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late Julian Moore and Frances Stephens Moore. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Edmondson, and aunts Nina Kidd and Minnie Haines.

Nancy graduated from the Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, later earning both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. For over 30 years, she imparted her knowledge and passion for nursing as a professor at Cleveland State Community College, inspiring countless students to follow in her footsteps. Her commitment to education and the well-being of others was evident in every aspect of her work.

A devoted member of Morris Hill Baptist Church, Nancy's faith was central to her life. She not only attended services regularly but also generously shared her time and talents by teaching Sunday School at her church, further extending her influence and nurturing the next generation's spiritual growth.

Nancy is survived by her beloved sister, Faye Salvador, and her husband, Jim; her brother, Danny Moore, and his wife, Judy; and many nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, Newnan, GA 30263, with Pastor Jim Weathers officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Nancy's memory to the Morris Hill Baptist Church Education Fund to continue her legacy of teaching and community service. Condolences may also be expressed online to the family at www.mckoon.com.
