Nancy Ruth Greenlee Moore was born September 24, 1940 in Pevely, Missouri and she died February 13, 2026. She was the daughter to Lisborne Greenlee and Edna Mae Asbridge. Nancy was the second born of triplets. She attended Herculaneum high school from 1954-1958. She married Larrie Randall Bates and had three children in the marriage. Gregory Randall Bates, Robert Lin Bates, Kandi Lynn Bates, Robert passed at age 2 and Kandi passed at 8 months old. She married Clovis Moore in 1974 and raised his 4 children Kevin, Kelly, Karissa, Bryan as well as her son Greg. Those preceding her in death are her parents, Larry Bates, her husband Clovis Moore, Kevin Moore, granddaughter Casey Moore and her brother Robert Greenlee.

She received her nursing and x-ray lab training at Jefferson County hospital in Crystal City, Missouri. She worked for several doctors and retired from Dr. William Rosten in Forsyth, Missouri after 15 years, to take care of her husband Clovis.

She was active in the community serving as secretary of the Taney Co. riding club, past worthy Matron Hawthorne Chapter. Elk's secretary for 5 years and the ER for one year and district auditor for one year where she was awarded several state and grand lodge awards for the lodge and individually. She served on PTA's and Room Mother for all five children. Was a member of the Am Vets in in Rockaway Beach and the ladies Auxiliary where she served as secretary parliamentary. She also provided memorial services for the Veterans and members. She played semi-pro softball from age 13-20.

She is survived by her son Greg and his wife Kathy, her grandson Craig and two granddaughters, Kayla Bates and Megan Hensen (Brent). She has 7 great grandchildren Dylan, Nicholas, Cameron, Noah, Shyann, Jackson, Skylar. And Clovis's three children, Kelly Riddell, Karissa McNiel, Bryan Moore. And several of Clovis's grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nancy is also known as mom to 14 teenagers she took in and grandma to their children. She served as a member of Springfield women's bowling association, and she was also known to help anyone in the community that was in need. Her passion was her family, her horses, and her friends.
