Obituary
Nancy Lawson Morgan, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the age of 93. Mrs. Morgan grew up in Gordon, Georgia, and married her first husband, Jimmy Lawson. She graduated from North Georgia College and received her master's degree at a later date while raising three children and started her teaching career that lasted 55-plus years. Mrs. Morgan later remarried J.T. Morgan after seeing him at a 50-year college reunion. She enjoyed traveling, worked at Estes Park in Colorado, and loved her family dearly. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Thomas "J.T." Morgan; parents, Roy V. and Lillian Kingrey.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Lawson Kinsaul, Cindy Lawson; son, Lee Lawson; grandchildren, Derek Kinsaul, Casey Tomberlin; great-grandchildren, Bryant Tomberlin, Maddox Tomberlin, Lily Kinsaul; and ex-son-in-law, Rickey Kinsaul.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, in Lithonia. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, one hour prior to her service, from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M.
